The University of Calgary is pleased to offer Pathways to Medicine Scholarship Program for the 2018-2019 academic session.

The University of Calgary (U of C or UCalgary) is a public research university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The University of Calgary started in 1944 as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta, founded in 1908, prior to being instituted into a separate, autonomous university in 1966. It is composed of 14 faculties and over 85 research institutes and centres. The Cumming School of Medicine has designed the new Pathways to Medicine Scholarship program to support the enrollment and success of future MD students from traditionally under-represented groups throughout Alberta.

A group of dedicated general practitioners bring speciality training in family medicine to Calgary. A three-year residency for certification in General Practice is piloted at the Calgary General Hospital.
