2018 Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships At Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

The Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships are granted by the Royal Thai Government in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The aim of the scholarship is to assist Master's students in Human Resource Development in 6 GMS countries. The scholarship provides an opportunity for students of diverse backgrounds from all countries in Greater Mekong Sub-region to study and do research work together in the truly international environment at AIT and to build a good foundation for international understanding among people of Asia. The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), founded in 1959, is an international institution for higher education in Khlong Luang, Thailand. It specializes in engineering, advanced technologies, and management and planning. Its aim is to "promote technological change and sustainable development" in the Asia-Pacific region, through higher education, research, and outreach.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Citizens of Thailand, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Vietnam and China (Yunnan and Guangxi Provinces)
  • Graduated in related fields from an accredited institution
  • Have a good education record in a 4-year undergraduate degree program
  • Have a high proficiency in English as required by AIT
  • Applicants in Thailand can also take the AIT English Test administered by the AIT Language Center
  • From universities with QS Ranking within 1000 or better with CGPA 3.0 and above (or equivalent) or from other universities with CGPA 3.5 and above (or equivalent).

  • Two Letters of Recommendation;

The School of Engineering at The University of Warwick is currently offering Taught Masters Scholarship to prospective MSc students. The decisions of the scholarships are based on merit and candidates will be considered by their academic qualifications.

English Language Requirements
There are three ways to satisfy the AIT
English requirements for admission:

Official Test Score–Submit an official test score: Applicants who wish to apply for
Scholarships must submit an official English score ( IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, etc.) in order to meet the specific requirements of the Scholarships.

Exemption: Applicants who are citizens of and have been educated in an English- speaking country (e.g., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA) are exempted. Proof of citizenship and studies must be submitted.

Certificate of English: Medium Instruction Applicants who have earned a degree at a university at which English is the sole medium of instruction may submit a document signed by the University Registrar attesting to English medium instruction. Applicants who submit a certificate are requested to sit the AIT Academic Writing Test upon arrival to determine their level of proficiency on the AIT scale.

To be considered for undergraduate admission, you must:
  • Be Students, who are either in their last year in high school or graduated,
  • Students, who have foreign nationality,
  • Students who have Turkish nationality from the birth but take permission from the Ministry of Interior to leave nationality,

[Free Tuition] Study in Czech Republic: Charles University Computational Linguistics Scholarship (CLS).

Do you know that education is free in Czech Republic at all level? Do you know that you can study Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree programme in Czech Republic for free? Well, education in Czech Republic is financed by the government and it is free for both local and international students as long as they are undergoing their studies in Czech language, and the standard length of study is not exceeded. A tuition fee is only charge if programmes is in English or other foreign languages (German, French, Russian). The tuition fees range from €500 to €15,000 per academic year, depending on the faculty or the study programme.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University is awarding two Computational Linguistics Scholarship (CLS) to highly qualified applicant in the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Computational Linguistics (language of instruction: English). Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for Computational Linguistics Scholarship (CLS), applicant must meet admission entry requirements for Master's degree programme. To apply for Mathematics or Computer Science Master’s programmes given in English you must:
  • hold or be working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s diploma and provide a certified copy thereof; in cases required by law, a certification of equivalence of education must accompany the application.
  • have sufficient academic background in the relevant fields by providing transcripts (academic records) of your previous education accompanied by syllabi of the completed courses; promising students who do not have this background may be admitted with the provision that they complete the missing Bachelor’s courses.
  • have sufficient command of the English language; this can be demonstrated by providing your results in one of the standardized English tests such as: IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.

You can also supplement your application with:
  • a statement of purpose in which you describe your reasons for applying to the proposed programme, your study and possibly also research interests and future career plans,
  • letters of recommendation as recent as possible from professors and employers who can comment on your recent professional accomplishments and your qualifications for pursuing a Master’s degree in mathematics or computer science.

Scholarship Regulations:
  • The Scholarship will be known as the Computational Linguistics Scholarship (CLS).
  • The Scholarship includes direct coverage of tuition fees for the academic years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, which amounts to 84,000 CZK (around 3,240 EUR) per academic year for students from the EU, and 140,000 CZK (around 5,400 EUR) per academic year for students outside the EU), and a contribution to living expenses of 110,000 CZK (around 4,250 EUR) per academic year, plus a contribution to travel expenses up to 400 EUR.
  • Two Scholarships will be awarded.
  • The decision on awarding the Scholarship belongs to the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University.
  • The Scholarship is open to candidates applying for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Computational Linguistics, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, for the academic years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. Candidates must meet the above Entry Requirements for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science.
  • To apply for the CLS, you have to apply for the Master’s Programme in Computer Science, study branch Computational Linguistics using the Students Information System of Charles University, and accompany your application with the following documents:

(i) curriculum vitae;
(ii) motivation letter;
(iii) list of publications (if applicable);
(iv) transcript(s) of records;
(v) photocopy of university diploma (if applicable);
(vi) application for the CLS;
(vii) two letters of recommendation;

  • Candidates must not be recipients of any other external scholarships or grants for a living allowance.

Study in Canada: University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF).

The University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) is a merit-based scholarships awarded to students of all nationalities who wish to pursue either Master's or PhD programme (full-time) at the University of Manitoba. The scholarships are valued for a year period at $18,000 for PhD students, or $14,000 for Master's students. UMGF is available to students in all graduates study with the exception of Master's in Business Administration (MBA). Eligibility Criteria
Academic standing: Students with a minimum GPA of 3.75 (above B+) in each of the last two years of study at a recognized university based on a Bachelor, Master’s Graduate Diploma or a Doctoral Degree.

Citizenship: All students regardless of citizenship are eligible to apply. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply to CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC scholarships, if there are eligible for funding from these research councils. Tricouncil eligible students who do not apply for a tricouncil award may be considered ineligible for a UMGF.

Fields of study: Students in all fields of graduate study (with the exception of those in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) are eligible to apply, provided their program is eligible for tri-councilbfunding.

Years of graduate study: Students are eligible tonreceive the UMGF for the first 24 months of their Master’s program and the first 48 months of their PhD program. Total maximum UMGF support for any individual graduate student is 48 months.

The University of Sydney inviting candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master's by Research program at the University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS). The objective of the USydIS is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to undertake research projects which will enhance the University's research activities.

The University of Sydney is an Australian public research university in Sydney, Australia. Founded in 1850, it was Australia's first university and is regarded as one of the world's leading universities. It is ranked as the world's 50th most reputable university. The USydIS is open to all research disciplines; however participation in the USydIS program Research Period 2 and Research Period 3 are at the discretion of the Dean of each faculty. These Scholarships will be awarded in conjunction with the International RTP Fee Scholarship (formerly IPRS) for commencement in Research Period 2 (March), and in early April for commencement in Research Period 3 (July). The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester's extension for PhD students. The eligibility criteria for USydIS is the same as the RTP Fee Scholarships.

The USydIS is available to students commencing in both the March (Research Period 2) and July (Research Period 3). Scholarship applications is open through out the year. Please note that it may take up to four months from submission of your application to receiving advice on whether you have been successful. There is no separate scholarship application form, to be considered for the scholarship you must submit an application for admission to your research degree.

To be considered for an University of Sydney International Scholarship (USydIS), a student must:

  • Download and complete the Research Experience Evidence Template according to the guidelines in the Research Experience Guide
  • Prepare an application for admission to your degree (see guidelines)
  • Go to Sydney Courses and look up the research degree you applying for. Complete an application for admission for a research degree (e.g. Doctor of Philosophy).
  • In the application form for admission, when prompted, ensure you tick the relevant section on the admission form "Do you wish to be considered for an Research Training Program Fee Scholarship or University of Sydney International Scholarship (USydIS)?"

You will receive a notification that a scholarship application has been added to your record within 7 days of having submitted your course application.

If you have accepted a course offer and deferred commencement in order to be re-considered for a graduate research scholarships, you must submit an online application form by the relevant closing date. The University assesses applications for courses and scholarships throughout the academic year.

Selection
All domestic students who are offered admission to a Master by research or Doctoral degree at the University of Melbourne will receive a Research Training Program Scholarship (Fee Offset).

Graduate Research Scholarships that provide a stipend as well as fee offset are awarded to domestic and international students based on academic merit. Eligible applicants are scored and ranked according to their academic achievement of their last completed degree and their research potential in their field of study. Factors such as completion of a degree at the same level of the research course for which the scholarship is sought, relevant professional experience, refereed publications, specialist medical qualifications or composition of original music may be taken into consideration.

Outcome
Domestic students will receive an offer for Research Training Program Scholarship (Fee Offset) as part of their course offer.
Offers for Graduate Research Scholarships that provide a stipend and fee offset are made separately but around the same time course offers are made.
