Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships (AIUS). Eligibility, How To Apply And Deadline.

The university of Adelaide in Australia is offering scholarship opportunity to international students who wish to commence their undergraduate studies in February. The scholarship is awarded to 40 students who have excellent academic performance and have been admitted either conditionally or unconditionally to study any undergraduate programmes at the university.

Scholarship Conditions
To be selected for the scholarship the following conditions followed. The scholarship is:
  • Available for commencing international undergraduate students only;
  • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
  • Provides a waiver of 25% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the program, up to a maximum of four years;
  • Up to 40 scholarships available each year; Available for study in any discipline except Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Oral Health and Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience)
  • Open to eligible applicants completing Foundation Studies or secondary studies overseas or in Australia, or those transferring into the later years of an undergraduate degree with advanced standing.
Application Process
  • Applicants may apply online for a scholarship at any time
  • Applicants must have received an offer of admission from the University before lodging their scholarship application (applicants with a conditional offer may apply, but will need to accept and meet the conditions of their offer before a scholarship can be confirmed)
  • Scholarship selection is based on academic merit (in certain cases country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into consideration when awarding scholarships)
  • Applications will be considered and scholarships offered on a rolling basis until all scholarships have been awarded
  • Successful applicants will be notified within 4 to 6 weeks of lodging the scholarship application; unsuccessful applicants will NOT be contacted.
Selection Method
The selection process for the Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships is competitive, with academic achievement forming the main basis for scholarship selection. As a general guide, the
University of Adelaide will consider applicants who have achieved an academic level which is the equivalent of a GPA of 6/7 (85%) for a scholarship. Factors such as country of citizenship and program of study may also be taken into consideration in some cases in the scholarship selection process.

City University of Hong Kong Entrance Scholarship Scheme For 2018/2019.

City University of Hong Kong is a public research university in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was founded in 1984 as City Polytechnic of Hong Kong and became a fully accredited university in 1994. It is one of eight government-funded degree-granting tertiary institutions. The Entrance Scholarship Scheme for 2018/2019 Entry 
City University of Hong Kong Entrance Scholarship Scheme is for international students with excellent academic performance who are admitted to full-time government-funded bachelor's degree programmes.

The Scheme offers three kinds of scholarships
  • Top Scholarships of HK$160,000 (approximately US $20,500), covering annual tuition fees, on-campus accommodation and living expenses
  • Full Tuition Scholarships, covering annual tuition fees (approximately US$15,400)
  • Half Tuition Scholarships, covering half of the annual tuition fees (approximately US$7,700).
Applicants do not have to apply for these
scholarships. The appropriate level of scholarship is awarded based on merit. Students receiving it are required to attain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.2 or above every year during the period study for renewing the scholarship.

Please note that each applicant is allowed to submit one application only. The application can include a maximum of three programme choices.

Click "Apply for New Programme(s)". Select the "Application Type" (Bachelor's Degree) and "Semester" (Semester A, 2018/19), then select programmes (maximum three programme choices per application) from the programme list.

Step 3: Upload supporting documents
Please click Supporting Documents by Qualification Type to find out the documents required for application review. Scanned copies of these documents should be uploaded via your application account before submitting your application. See supporting documents here.

Step 4: Submit your application
Check your data entry before submitting the
application. Pay the application fee online using Visa or MasterCard. The fee (HK$450 for a maximum of three programme choices) is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Application will only be
processed after payment of the application fee.

Step 5: Application acknowledgement
An acknowledgement of your application will be shown online upon submission of your application.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship: Science International Scholarships at Queensland University, Australia.

The Faculty of Science at the University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia is delighted to offer Science International Scholarships to various outstanding international students who wish to pursue undergraduate or
postgraduate coursework programs.



There are two different scholarships available:
  • The Full Degree Scholarship is awarded to students enrolling in year one of a UQ Faculty of Science full degree program and is a single payment of AU$10,000
  • The Advanced Standing Scholarship is awarded to students enrolling in a UQ Faculty of Science program with advanced standing (credit articulation), for example on the basis of previous study at a Polytechnic, and is a single payment of AU$3,000.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a UQ Science International
Scholarship, you must:
  • Be classified as an international student in Australia
  • Have an unconditional or a conditional offer (with all conditions met by the scholarship closing date) from UQ
  • For undergraduate programs, have completed senior high school and obtained an entry score that equates to a Queensland Tertiary Education rank of 96 or higher
  • For postgraduate programs, have completed an undergraduate degree and obtained a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 6 or higher on a 7-point scale
  • Not have already commenced your studies at UQ, even if you seek a change of program
  • Not simultaneously hold another scholarship
  • For the Full Degree Scholarships: be an international student enrolling in year one of a UQ Faculty of Science full degree program
  • For the Advanced Standing Scholarships: be an international student enrolling in a UQ Faculty of Science program with advanced standing (credit articulation)

The University of Tampere Scholarships Programme For Master's Studies.

According to Finnish Parliament decision in 2015, Finnish universities have finally introduced tuition fee. The tuition fees which concern Non-EU/EEA citizens takes effect in August 2017 and it is collected towards master's degree programmes taught in English. Other students, such as exchange or doctoral students, are exempt from paying fees. However, all applicants required to pay fees are entitled to apply for scholarships. The University of Tampere (UTA) is a public university in Tampere, Finland offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes with 20,178 degree students and 1,981 employees as of 2016. The University of Tampere Scholarships Programme

The University of Tampere Scholarships Programme is intended for students who are required to pay tuition fees in Master’s degree programmes offered in English. A substantial number of scholarships will be available for the most talented fee-paying students. The scheme consists of two scholarship categories.
  • The University of Tampere tuition fee scholarships cover either 100% or 50% of the tuition fees in a two-year Master’s degree programme
  • The University of Tampere global student award for academic excellence scholarships cover 100% of the tuition fees and include a 7,000 € annual scholarship to cover the student’s living expenses during the two-year Master’s degree programme.
During the application process, Applicants have the possibility to indicate they wish to apply for the scholarships. The decision to granted scholarship will be communicated to applicants together with information on admission.

Please note that scholarship recipients’ progress in studies will be monitored each semester. In order to qualify for the scholarship in the second year, recipient must earn at least 55 credits as detailed in the personal study plan.

Admission Application

General eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for a Master’s degree programme at UTA, you must have
  • a completed university level Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of the desired Master's degree programme or in a closely related subject AND
  • fluency in English sufficiently advanced for academic studies. Any of the following tests is acceptable
  1. TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language; minimum of 90 in Internet-based or 575/ in paper-based test
  2. IELTS (Academic), International English Language Testing System; minimum of 6.5 with no individual score below 5.5
  3. PTE (Academic), Pearson’s Test of Academic English; minimum of 62.
Please note that some of the programmes may have slightly different language proficiency requirements. Read the programme admission webpage carefully.

Applicants are exempted from the English language test provided they have previously completed:
  • A Bachelor's or two-year Master's degree completed in English in a university or university of applied sciences in Finland or another EU/EEA country, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United States, excluding online degrees
  • A Bachelor’s degree completed in a Finnish university or university of applied sciences in Finnish or Swedish. The compulsory foreign language course included in the degree must be completed in the English language.
  • Secondary education in English in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom or the United States.

Study In Austria: The Ernst Mach Grant Scholarship For Postgraduates, PhD holders and Post Docs.

The Ernst Mach Grant program is named after the famous Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach (1838-1916). The grant program is financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW). Students and young researchers from foreign universities are invited to apply for this grant to come to Austria for a research or a study stay.

The program Ernst Mach worldwide is targeted at young researchers from all disciplines and countries (except Austria) who wish to pursue a research project in Austria.

It is possible for OeAD scholarship holders to book accommodation (dormitory or apartment) with the OeAD Housing office. The monthly costs are:
  • monthly rent: €220 to €480 (depending on the amenities)
  • monthly administrative fee: €18
*OeAD scholarship holders need to have health insurance that is accepted by the Austrian authorities for the duration of their stay in Austria. The OeAD can help with taking out such insurance. The monthly costs can vary, at the moment you should calculate €55 to €200 (depending on your age, scholarship category and state of health).
*Scholarship holders have to pay the costs for accommodation and insurance themselves.

3. Scholarship holders are exempted from paying tuition fees.

4. Scholarship holders from non-European developing countries will also receive a travel costs subsidy of max. €1,000. This subsidy can cover (parts of) travel expenses to Austria as well as to Austrian representative authorities outside the home country.

  • postgraduates pursuing a doctoral/PhD programme outside Austria;
  • postgraduates and post-docs wishing to pursue research in Austria with a view to an academic career and who completed their studies (at a university outside Austria) after September 30th, 2016;
  • post-docs who are working as lecturers at a university outside Austria.
  • Applicants must not have studied/pursued research/pursued academic work in Austria in the last six months before taking up the grant.
  • Maximum age: 35 years (born on or after Oct. 1st, 1982).
Language skills: Very good knowledge of English and/or German

The scholarship will only be granted for projects that can be completed within the scholarship period (max. 9 months).

  • Two letters of recommendation by university lecturers (for these letters of recommendation no specific form is required; they must contain the letterhead, date and signature of the person recommending the applicant and the stamp of the university / department and must not be older than six months at the time of application)
  • Consent of a lecturer at the Austrian target university to supervise the applicant academically
  • Scanned copy of your passport (page with the name and photo)
  • Scanned copy of your university graduation certificate of your diploma, master, PhD or doctoral studies
  • only for PHD-students: confirmation, that proves your participation in a PHD-program at your home university
  • only for postdoc-lecturers: confirmation that proves your employment at your home university
Incomplete applications and applications not complying with the application criteria will not be accepted for the further selection process.

Scholarship holders are not allowed to take up paid work in Austria while receiving an OeAD grant.

Study In China: Undergraduate Scholarship at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology.

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST), established in 1980 is a public university located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China. If you have more than one university degree, please choose the degree which serves as entrance qualification for the Master’s program you are applying for (Entrance Qualification for Master's Program).

Master Degree Program Scholarship At Aalto University, Finland. Application, How To Apply, Eligibility And Deadline.

Admission application and scholarship are now open at Aalto University for prospective international students who wish to pursue their master studies in the field of Science and Technology. Aalto University is a state- recognized university located in Greater Helsinki, Finland. It was established in January 1, 2010 when three major Finnish universities: the Helsinki University of Technology (established 1849), the Helsinki School of Economics (established 1904), and the University of Art and Design Helsinki (established 1871) merged. The university is composed of six schools with close to 17,500 students and 4,000 staff members, making it Finland's second largest
university.

Eligibility to apply for Master's program

Applicants are eligible to apply for a master-level studies in the field of science and technology if they have completed:
  • A 3-4 year bachelor’s degree from a university or the equivalent education. The degree must entitle the graduate to apply for university-level master’s degree studies in the country in question.
  • A polytechnic degree (Finnish university of applied sciences, ammattikorkeakoulu).
  • A polytechnic degree in an EU country if the degree entitles the graduate to apply for university-level master’s degree studies in the country in question.

Tuition fee
If you are a citizen of the member states of the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, you are not required to pay tuition fee. Most non-EU/EEA citizens are required to pay tuition fees. There are no tuition fees for doctoral/PhD studies nor for bachelor's and master's degree studies that are taught in Finnish or Swedish. Please note that if you wish to study in Finnish or Swedish, you must fulfill specific language criteria.

The fees will not concern those non-EU/EEA students who:
  • are equivalent to an EU citizen (i.e. citizens of Switzerland)
  • have a continuous or permanent residence permit card in Finland (type A or P permit)
  • have an EU residence permit for third-country citizens with long-term residence permit card in Finland (type P-EU permit)
  • have an EU family member's residence card in Finland
  • have an EU blue card.
The tuition fee for master's degree programmes is €15,000 per academic year.

Scholarship

Prospective students subject to tuition fees are eligible to apply for Aalto University Scholarship. Aalto University Scholarship programme seeks to recognise talented non-EU/EEA students. Aalto University scholarships are merit-based and are granted on a competitive basis. The number of scholarships per degree programme is limited and depends on the overall number of selected non-EU/EEA students per degree programme. Scholarships are allocated during the academic evaluation stage as part of the admissions process of a specific study option. The best applicants of a specific study option liable to tuition fees may be awarded a scholarship.

Scope of scholarship
Aalto scholarships cover either 50 % (Category B) or 100 % (Category A) of the tuition fee. Aalto Scholarships are awarded as tuition fee waivers.

Please note that Aalto University scholarship only covers tuition fee. Students are expected to cover all living expenses for their stay in Finland (app. EUR 800 per month) and other study related costs from their own financial resources.

How to apply for a scholarship
If you are a non-EU/EEA citizen, you can apply for the scholarship at the same time you apply for your preferred study option with the same application form  during the application period. In the application form for the study option, you will be asked questions by which your liability to fees is determined. If you are considered liable to a tuition fee, you will be offered an option to apply or not apply for a Aalto University Scholarship. Only students who are liable to pay tuition fees at Aalto University are eligible to apply for Aalto University scholarships (i.e. tuition fee waivers). It is not possible to apply for the scholarship after the application period has ended.

Scholarship decisions
The scholarship decisions are made based on academic evaluation of the applicants selected to the study programmes. Applications are evaluated in the programmes according to the predefined academic evaluation criteria. The scholarship decision is given at the same time with the admission decision. As defined in the Universities Act, the scholarship decision cannot be appealed to.

Duration of scholarship
Scholarships are granted for the normative period of study of the degree programme. The normative study period is two (2) years full-time study for master’s degree. Scholarship requires full-time study and studying according to the approved personal study plan.

Tuition fee
Every student in the program is provided with a scholarship which covers the tuition fees for 2 years of study, subject to an annual review by the program committee. For Thai students, the scholarships are sponsored by NSTDA. For overseas students, the scholarships are sponsored by the International College, KMITL. Scholarship holders are required to follow the terms and conditions of the scholarships specified by the scholarship sponsors.

  • Interview: The interview is to be conducted at the TAIST – Tokyo Tech office in Thailand. Applicant who does not live in Thailand may request for an interview via video conference before June 14, 2018

Eligibility
For the applicant of a Masters program:
  • The applicant has been admitted into a Masters degree program or a 4 + 1 combined Bachelor-Masters program at the International College and is beginning his/her study at the Masters level in the upcoming academic year.
  • The applicant is choosing Plan A (research pathway) in his/her Masters study.
  • The applicant has graduated or is expected to graduate from a Bachelor degree program with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
For the applicant of a doctoral program:
  • The applicant has been admitted into a doctoral degree program at the International College and is beginning his/her study at the doctoral level in the upcoming academic year.
  • The applicant has graduated or is expected to graduate EITHER from a Masters degree program with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) OR from a Bachelor degree program (but has not begun a graduate study) with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).

Conditions:
  • The awardee must maintain the grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 in every semester during their study period.
  • In every semester, the awardee is required to do research or work as a teaching assistant or a research assistant at the International College for at least 20 hours/week in each normal semester (excluding the semester(s) during an approved leave of absence). At the end of each semester, the awardee is required to submit a brief report to the scholarship committee summarizing the works carried out in the semester.

Application submission instruction for non-Thai applicants.
The application can be made free-of-charge. Please follow the steps below to prepare and submit an application.
  1. Complete and submit the online application form.
  2. Prepare the supporting documents listed below. Please include your name and your Application ID number on each document submitted.
  • A photocopy of the applicant's national identification card or passport
  • A photocopy of the applicant's name-change certificate (if any)
  • Latest official academic transcript
  • If the applicant has already graduated, a final official transcript should be sent with the application. Otherwise, the applicant should send the latest official transcript available at the time the application is made, and if there is any subsequent update, the applicant is required to bring the most up-to-date official transcript on the day of the interview. The applicant may send a photocopy of his/her academic transcript with the application instead of an original one, in which case the applicant is required to bring an original copy of the official transcript on the day of the interview.
  • Standardized-test score reports (if required)
  • A photocopy of the score report for each applicable standardized test in mathematics and/or English language should be sent with the application. However, in case a score report is not available at the time the application is made, the applicant must indicate in his/her application form which test the applicant is waiting for the result, and then send a copy of the score report to the International College once the test result becomes available. The applicant is required to bring the original score report on the day of the interview and present it to the examiners.
  • An academic portfolio (if any)
  • Applicant may send his/her academic portfolio and any additional supporting document with the application. Alternatively, the applicant can bring those documents on the day of the interview and present them to the examiners.

Thailand. Thailand is a Southeast Asian country with Bangkok being the capital and largest city. KMITL is in the city of Bangkok, Thailand. It is in Lat Krabang District (approximately 30km east of the center of Bangkok), the university has seven faculties including engineering, architecture, agricultural technology, science, industrial education, agricultural industry, and information technology. Established in 1960, KMITL has partnered with many universities both in Thailand and Japan. At present, KMITL has been recognized as one of the science and technology universities in
Thailand.
The university (KMITL) is currently offering fully funded scholarships for international students who wish to pursue their undergraduate program at the university. Undergraduate programme requirements
Applicant must satisfy one of the following requirements:
  • Graduated from a high school/secondary school in Thailand or abroad and obtained a qualification equivalent to Matthayom 6
  • Graduated from a vocational program in a college in Thailand or abroad and obtained a qualification equivalent to Matthayom 6 or higher.
Academic records
Applicant should possess an excellent academic record which, at the minimum, meets the requirements specified in 1 or 2 below:
  • The applicant’s combined grade point average for all courses in mathematics as reported in the applicant’s latest academic transcript must be no less than 3.0 in the 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • The applicant has taken at least one of the following standardized testsand obtained a score which meets the minimum requirement specified:
  1. SAT (Math section) or SAT Subject test (Math Level I or Math Level II) with a score of 600 or above
  2. ACT (Math section) with a score of 24 or above
  3. AP test in a subject in mathematics with a score of 4 or above
  4. GCE A-Level or GCE AS-Level in a subject in mathematics with grade B or above
  5. GCE O-Level or GCSE or IGCSE in a subject in mathematics with grade A or above
  6. IB-Diploma with a score of at least 5 in a subject in mathematics
  7. NCEA (Level 2 or Level 3) in a subject in mathematics with grade “Merit (M)” or above
  8. China National Higher Education Entrance Examination (Gaokao) score of the Mathematics subject with a score of 90 (out of 150) or above
  9. CU-AAT (Math section) with a score of 480 or above

English language requirements
Applicant must fulfill one of the following requirements on English language proficiency :
  1. TOEFL (iBT) score of at least 61
  2. TOEFL (ITP or paper-based test) score of at least 500
  3. IELTS score of at least 5.5
  4. Cambridge English Exams - FCE/CAE/CPE score of at least 160
  5. China National Higher Education Entrance Examination (Gaokao) score of the English subject with a score of 90 (out of 150) or above
  6. CU-TEP score of at least 65
  7. TU-GET score of at least 500
  8. GAT (Part 2 - English) score of at least 100
  9. The applicant has been studying for two years or longer in a school or a college outside Thailand in which the main language of instruction is English.
Applicant who have not obtained a required English test score is advised to apply for the test early in advance.

How To Apply For Undergraduate Admission
An applicant who does not hold the Thai nationality can apply any time during the application period. Below is the application procedure and schedule for non-Thai applicants.
  • Apply: Complete this online application and carefully follow the instructions to submit an application before 30 June, 2018.
  • Interview: Interview is held at the International College, KMITL. Applicants who live outside Thailand may request for an interview via video conference over the Internet by appointment.
  • Announcement of results: Applicant will be notified of their application result via email.   Typically 4-6 weeks after application submission.
  • Enrollment confirmation: In case the applicant is accepted, the applicant is required to confirm their intent to enroll within the specified period. This can be done online within 2 weeks after the result is announced.
  • Start date: Academic year 2018/2019 begins 1st August, 2018.

Number of awards: 1 - 2 for each undergraduate program (to be confirmed in each year)

Value of award: Full tuition fee

Eligibility:
  • The applicant must hold a nationality other than Thai.
  • The applicant has been admitted into an undergraduate program at the International College and is beginning his/her study in the upcoming academic year.
  • The applicant has completed or is expected to complete high-school/secondary-school education with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
Conditions:
  • The awardee must maintain the grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.50 in every semester during their study period.
  • In every semester, the awardee is required to do volunteer works which benefit the university or the International College for at least 40 hours/semester and, at the end of the semester, submit a brief report to the scholarship committee summarizing the volunteer works carried out in that semester.

Full Scholarship
The Full Scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and financial need. The scholarship provides financial aid throughout the entire 4-5 years of undergraduate study at KMITL.

Duration: entire normal study period (4-5 years)

Number of awards: 38 (estimated)

Value of award:
  • Full tuition fee
  • University dorm rental (non air-conditioning)
  • Additional subsistence of 16,000 Baht/semester
Eligibility:
  • Studying in the first year of any undergraduate program at KMITL
  • GPA in Semester 1 of Year 1 is at least 3.00
  • Annual income of the applicant's family is no more than 150,000 Baht
Conditions:
  • The awardee must follow the normal study plan of their study program and maintain good academic record (GPA of at least 2.50) throughout their study.

Merit Scholarship
The Merit Scholarship is awarded based on academic merit. The scholarship provides financial subsistence on a yearly basis.

Value of award: 10,000 Baht/year

Hardship Scholarship

Study In Belgium: The University of Antwerp. Admission requirements, How to Apply and Application deadlines.

Applications are currently been accepted at the university of Antwerp for international students who which to study in their English taught Master's program. The University of Antwerp (UAntwerp), located in the city of Antwerp is one of the major universities in Belgium. It was founded in 1852 and was one of the first European business schools to offer formal university degrees. In 2014, the University of Antwerp was ranked 170th globally according to Times Higher Education, 205th according to QS World University Rankings and between the 201 and 300th place according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities. The university offers several Postgraduate, master and advanced master programmes in English. Bachelor's programmes are mainly in Dutch.

Academic requirements
  • University degree: To be eligible to apply for master's program, applicants will need at least an academic bachelor degree or its equivalent.
  • English proficiency: Non-native speaker who wish to study in English at UAntwerp have to prove proficiency in English. This can be done by providing:
  1. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): paper-based TOEFL level of minimum 550, a computer-based TOEFL level of minimum 213 or an internet-based TOEFL level of minimum 80.
  2. IELTS (International English Language Testing System): a minimum score of at least 6.5, and on each part minimum 6.0.
  3. Submitting proof that you have studied at least one academic year (or 60 ECTS credits) in an English-language Bachelor or Master programme.

Enter your personal details and select the programme in which you wish to enrol in the academic year 2018/2019, generate a user account to access the application in a secure way, after that upload all electronic documents to support your application. Note that no legalisation is necessary at this point.
The following minimum documents are required:
  • a color copy of a valid passport or identity card
  • a curriculum vitae
  • a motivation letter
  • a colour copy of an original degree certificate with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if the degree is drawn up in another language (applicants that are enrolled in their final year should, instead of the degree, submit a copy of an original and signed letter from their college or university confirming that they are expected to complete the programme at the end of the current academic year)
  • a copy of the original academic transcripts and course descriptions with a translation in Dutch, French, German or English if they are drawn up in another language
  • Language proficiency certificate.
After submitting online application, the university registrar office will request for the legalised hard copies of the degree(s) and transcript you previously uploaded to verify the authentication of the documents. Also note that if a translation is required, it has to be done by a sworn translator and the translation also has to be legalised.

2018 Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for Teacher Training Students. Application for Nigerians.

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Government of Japan will be providing scholarship for Nigerian Primary/Secondary school teachers who
desire to take teacher training course and Japanese language training in Japan. The aim of the scholarship is to attract Nigerian schools that wish to start Japanese
language class or course at their school to use the opportunity. The program is to foster human resources that will ensure friendship between the two countries. Beneficiaries shall upon their return, help to promote Japanese language education in Nigeria.

The scholarship is open to graduates of universities and teachers training colleges, who:
  • are no more than thirty-four (34) years of age (must be born on or after April 2, 1983);
  • have taught as teachers at primary/secondary schools or teacher training colleges for at least five years in their home countries at the time of application.
Applicants must:
  • be keen to learn Japanese
  • be interested in Japan and be keen to deepen their understanding of Japan
  • return to their home country and resume their work immediately after the end of the scholarship period and shall utilize in their teaching careers the results of their research on school education in Japan.

The online application system at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is now open for applicants who are interested in starting their MSc in Engineering studies in Autumn 2018. The University is currently accepting applications from international students for Master's programme.The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a university in Kongens Lyngby, North of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1829 as Denmark's first polytechnic, and is today ranked among Europe's leading engineering institutions. In the 2015 QS World University Rankings, DTU was ranked 112 in the World. In "The World's Most Innovative Universities" 2015 ranking by Thomson Reuters, DTU was ranked 1st in the Nordic countries and 43rd in the world in the "engineering" category. Required documents

Documentation of completed academic degrees or in-progress academic degrees (All academic documents should be in original language and translated into English by an authorized translator. The academic documents should also be certified).

  • Diploma in original language and translated into English. However diplomas in Norwegian, Swedish, German, Spanish and French does not have to be translated.

Supporting documents to be uploaded as one document:

  • copy of passport or national ID Card indicating citizenship
  • a clear and precise statement of purpose
  • CV
  • two recommendation letters (should be on the university or company letterhead and signed by the concerned)
  • Grade Point Average from your home university converted to the Danish weighted GPA
  • Description of the grade scale used at your home university. In many cases this is stated on your academic transcript, or on the university website.
  • Documentation to show English language proficiency. Please note that only IELTS, TOEFL, CAE Advanced or Pearson tests verified online by DTU will be accepted. Please make arrangements with the test centre to ensure that DTU has access to your online results. If you have not yet taken the test, you need to upload a document showing that you have registered for the test.

Lund University Global Scholarship. Eligibility, Selection and How to Apply.

Lund University is inviting applicants from Non EU/EEA to apply for Lund University Global Scholarship. The scholarship is a selective, merit-based and is aimed for high achieving students from across the globe. The scholarship grant is on tuition and may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or up to 100% of the fee.   • be a citizen of a country from outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) and are required to pay a tuition fee
  • have made a complete application for Bachelor's or Master's level studies at Lund University in a regular application round for a minimum of one semester of study (30ECTS). Note that priority is given to students who have ranked a programme at Lund University as first choice in their admission application.

Do not apply if:
  • you do not meet the admission requirements to Lund University
  • you have not selected a Lund University programme/course as your first choice/ choices
  • you cannot secure the funding needed to cover living costs, as required by the Swedish Migration Agency
How to apply
To apply for Lund University Global Scholarship you must first apply for the
programme(s) of your choice at Lund University using the online national application. Once you have made a complete application and paid the application fee, you will be able to apply for scholarship.

As part of the scholarship online application, applicants need to upload a 'motivation
letter' (maximum 600 words). Please note that the scholarship 'motivation letter' is different from any statement of purpose you may be required to submit as part of your programme application documents. Your scholarship personal 'motivation letter' should explain why your academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you an appropriate recipient for a Lund University Global Scholarship.

The application period for the LU Global
Scholarship will open in early February 2018 for studies starting in autumn 2018.

Scholarship Selection
The selection process for the scholarships is undertaken in parallel with the programme/course applied for. Priority will be given to students with high academic performance, who are assessed as a good fit for the programme, who demonstrate a strong commitment and desire to study at Lund University and have selected a programme/course at Lund University as their first choice/choices.

Utrecht Excellence Scholarship for Prospective Master's Students.

Applications to apply for Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) is now open for prospective international master's students. Utrecht University is offering 20-25 Utrecht Excellence Scholarship to prospective outstanding graduate students across the 6 Graduate Schools. The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the degree programme, which is one or two years, depending on the degree programme. The scholarship will only be renewed for the second year if the student is making satisfactory progress.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must:
  • Belong to the top 10% of your graduating class
  • Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans
  • Have completed your secondary school and/or Bachelor degree outside the Netherlands
  • Have applied for an international master’s programme with a start date of September 1, 2018.

Scholarship amount
The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as:
  • tuition expenses
  • tuition fees plus 11,000 euro living expenses
Scholarship selection criteria
Eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:
  • Academic excellence and promise in the proposed field of study;
  • The academic quality and results of preceding qualifications, as evidenced by proof of belonging to the top 10% of the class, grades, test scores, a writing sample, letters of recommendation;
  • The quality and relevance of the motivation letter for the Master’s programme (academic content, intercultural and communication skills, personal motivation);
  • The quality of the application for the Master’s programme itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency).

How to apply
After submitting an application for the Master’s programme, please click here to apply, non-EU/EEA students will have the option to submit an application for Utrecht Excellence Scholarship.
You will also need to upload the following document:
  • Proof of belonging to the top 10% of your graduating class:
  • an official document issued by your university that proves you are among the top 10% of your graduating class, such as a statement signed and stamped by your University, a reference letter, a class ranking certificate, etc.

To be considered for Utrecht Excellence Scholarship you need to submit an application for a Master’s programme; if you do not do this first, your UES application will simply be deleted.
After submitting an application for a Master’s programme, you can go to Osiris Online Application
  • Log in with your Osiris username and password.
  • Click on the link 'New application'.
  • Answer the UES questions and upload the requested document(s).
Please note that students starting their programme in February are not eligible for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarships.

How to apply for admission
  • Apply online for the programme of your choice via Studielink.
  • You will receive an email with login details for OSIRIS Online Application, where you can upload the required documents. Here you will also be able to check the status of your application. 
  • Pay 100 euro application fee, if applicable.
Once your application is complete, it will be processed and you will receive an admissions decision from the Graduate School.
