General/Joint Application Portal For Admissions In Some Countries.

Admission application into universities or colleges in some part of the world requires applicant to apply through general/joint application portal. The general/joint application portal is a single application portal which allows students to apply to a number of schools during application period. The application is then forwarded by the portal to the universities and colleges that the students have applied to, who then decide whether to make students an offer of admission or not. Today, I have put together 6 general application portal for admission into different countries here:

Studyinfo
The general application into Finland higher education for English taught programme is through Studyinfo. The application usually opens in January for September intake. During application period, applicant can choose up to six universities/university of Applied Sciences (Polytechnics) in order of preference. General admission requirements are academic qualification such as high school/university certificate and of course English proficiency such as IELTS/TOEFL/PTE. In some cases you may be require to upload your CV, Motivation letter, Recommendation Letter, etc. For those applying to undergraduate programme you make be require to write Entrance examination.

DreamApply
DreamApply portal is use by three Baltic countries namely, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. DreamApply allows you to apply to as many universities as you like however, the more you apply the more application fee you pay and the more your chances of getting admission or scholarship. Some universities like Tartu university in Estonia does not require application fee to any of their programmes. Documents to upload on DreamApply include, school leaving certificate, IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, motivation letter(s), recommendation letter(s), passport data page, photograph, application fee, etc.

Studielink
Universities in the Netherlands official registration and application portal is studielink. To apply to universities in the Netherlands you will need to create a studielink account which allows you to choose a maximum number of 4 universities. Please note that not all higher institution in the Netherlands use studielink, therefore you have to contact your school to know if you can apply directly to their school or use studielink portal.

Universityadmissions
The joint Swedish application portal, www.universityadmissions.se, is the official website for international students who wish to study in Sweden. Just like Studyinfo, universityadmissions portal allows you to choose up to six universities/programmes. To be considered for admission into any of the universities English taught praggramme you must provide, application fee, school leaving certificate and transcript, English proficiency. Other documents such as, CV, motivation letter, recommendation letter may also be required.

Uni-assist
Generally, most universities/university of applied sciences (polytechnics) in Germany requires applicant to apply for admission through uni-assist however, some prefer applicants to apply directly to their university while others do want their applicants to apply through Uni-assist as well as their university. So be sure to check out which your school require. Higher education in Germany allows you to choose as many universities/polytechnics as you want, and the good news is that you don't get to pay tuition fees as most universities/polytechnics in Germany does not require tuition fees from both local and international students. General requirements for admission include, school leaving certificate, English proficiency, CV, motivation letter, recommendation letter, etc.

UCAS
Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS) is a UK-based organization whose main purpose is to operate the application process for British universities. To apply to university, applicants must submit a single application through UCAS online service.
The application itself requires applicant to register to the service, fill in personal details,
write a personal statement and choose up to 5 courses in no order of preference. Requirements for admission include, application fee, school leaving certificate and transcript, English proficiency, personal statement, reference letter, etc.
