Netherlands. It offers degree programmes ranging from business administration, psychology to applied physics, engineering and biomedical technology. It was established in 1961 and today it has approximately 10,000 students and 2,602 administrative staff. A growing number of foreign students are finding their way to UT. Almost all postgraduate programmes (and several undergraduate programmes) are taught in English. Half of all PhD students at the UT now come from outside
the Netherlands. The University of Twente is ranked 65th in the 2017 European Most Innovative University Reuters's ranking, and 153rd worldwide in 2018 according to the Times Higher Education magazine.
The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from both EU/EEA as well as non-EU/EEA countries applying for a Master's programme at the University of Twente. The scholarship amount to €3,000-€25,000 for one year and is available for approximately 50 students. In case of a two-years master's programme the scholarship can be renewed provided the student meet the scholarship requirements. The student must have obtained:
* An average grade of 7 (out of 10) at the
end of the third quartile of the first year
* At least 50% of European Credits at the
end of the third quartile of the first year
Please note that the scholarship is meant as a compensation for study related costs. It is up to the scholarship student to decide how to spend the money. No costs (e.g. tuition fees) will be paid on your behalf.
