Study in UK: Cranfield University Cyber Leaders Scholarships For Women.

Cranfield Defence and Security are delighted to offer women Cyber Leaders Scholarship. Cranfield University welcomes applications from female students from all around the world wishing to develop a career in Cyber. The scholarship is worth £6,500 towards tuition fees to study MSc Cyber Defence and Information Assurance. Cranfield University is a British postgraduate and research-based public university specialising in science, engineering, technology and management. It contains two campuses: the main campus is at Cranfield, Bedfordshire, and the second is at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham, southwest Oxfordshire. Students on Cranfield's Global Security programme were awarded the Imbert Prize in 2006, 2008 and 2009 for the development of ideas for the advancement of risk and security management in the UK.

Who can apply

Women applying for part-time study on the MSc Cyber Defence and Information Assurance commencing October 2018. Applicants must meet the course eligibility requirements as detailed on the course page.

How to apply

If you wish to be considered for this Scholarship you will have to indicate your interest on the course application highlighting your achievements and reasons that you should receive the scholarship along with a short essay of approximately 500 words on the topic of ‘Cyber’s role in the Defence and Security sector’. The essay will be judged by a Cranfield panel with the scholarship awarded to the author of the best essay.

If you have already applied for admission and wish to be considered for the Women as Cyber Leaders Scholarship you should send an email to the admission office including a
short essay (as above) and highlight your achievements and reasons that you should
receive the scholarship. You should include your full name, Cranfield Application Number and course name in your email.

Please note that this scholarship cannot be used with any other Cranfield scholarship.

Successful applicants will be notified by July 2018.

Cyber Defence and Information Assurance MSc (Part-time).

Duration
MSc: Up to five years part-time.
PgDip: Up to four years part-time.
PgCert: Up to 3 years part-time

Entry Requirements
A first or second class honours degree; or 3rd class degree with three years' relevant
experience; or pass degree with five years' relevant experience; or HND/C with seven years' relevant experience.

Exceptional candidates may be accepted with 10 years' relevant experience, where this experience is gained in Information Security, Information Operations, Information Risk or a related role.

English Language Requirements
If you are an international student you will need to provide evidence that you have achieved a satisfactory test result in an English qualification.
The minimum standard expected from a number of accepted courses are as follows:
• IELTS - 6.5
• TOEFL - 92
• Pearson PTE Academic - 65
• Cambridge English Scale - 180
• Cambridge English: Advanced - C
• Cambridge English: Proficiency - C
