Criteria
To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, all of the conditions listed below must have been satisfied:- an application must have been made for an undergraduate degree course at the University of Kent, beginning in September;
- the applicant must have received an offer of a place (conditional or unconditional) on a degree course;
- the applicant must have been assessed as an overseas fee payer.
- the University must have received confirmation of the applicant's firm acceptance of the offer by the deadline date
- Students who choose Kent as their insurance place will not be eligible for the Scholarship.
How to apply
Applications for the International Scholarship must be made via your application portal. Once logged in, click on My Scholarships and Bursaries. You will then see a list of scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for. You will be able to apply for the International Scholarship once you have received an offer. Click on Apply and follow the steps to submit your application. As part of your application you will need to upload an essay, which should be submitted as either a Word or PDF document. Write no more than 750 words on a topic about which you are passionate and which is relevant to your selected degree programme.Scholarships will be awarded based on the information provided on your UCAS form, together with motivation shown in the submitted essay.

University of Kent Admission Procedures
Admission applications for full-time undergraduate courses must be made through UCAS Apply.General Entry Requirements
GCE/GCSE
- The minimum requirements are:
- five passes at GCSE grade C (or grade 4) or above, including English Language or Use of English (IGCSE English as a Second Language, grade B or grade 6), and at least two subjects at A level OR
- three passes at GCE A level and a pass at grade C (or grade 4) or above in GCSE English Language or Use of English.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
The University welcomes applications from prospective students offering the full IB Diploma.
BTEC/OCR
- BTEC Extended National Diploma (QCF) or National Diploma (NQF) (18 units); or
- Diploma (QCF) Certificate (NQF) (12 units); and a pass in an approved English language qualification
- Higher National Diploma or Certificate and a pass in an approved English language qualification
Access to Higher Education Diploma
- All Access applicants are considered individually
- Pass with a proportion of Level 3 credits in particular subjects at merit grade or above
English language qualifications
In order to enter directly on to a degree programme, you also need to show evidence of your proficiency in English language- IELTS:- 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in R&W; 5.5 in S&L)
- PTE Academic:- 62 overall with 60 in each subtest
- CAE/CPE:- 176 overall (with a minimum of 169 in R&W; 162 in S&L)
- TOEFL iBT:- 90 overall (with a minimum of 22 in R; 21 in W; 17 in L; 20 in S.
