Chalmers IPOET Scholarships For Masters Programme, Application For 2018.

Chalmers University of Technology will be offering around 50 IPOET scholarships in 2018, funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education, to prospective fee-paying students. The selection for the scholarship is based on the applicants' academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university's stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order in the general application portal. The scholarship is available to 1st year Master's programme
applicants from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university studies. Scholarship covers 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters/2 year programme). It can be increased to 85% in the second and final year of studies if students excel during their first year of studies.
Chalmers University of Technolog (Chalmers) is a Swedish university located in Gothenburg that focuses on research and education in technology, natural science, architecture, maritime and other management areas. As of 2007, all Master's programmes are taught in English for both national and international students. Currently, about 10% of all students at Chalmers come from countries outside Sweden to enroll in a Master's or PhD program. In 2016 the university was ranked 139th in the world (overall) by QS World University Rankings.

To be Considered for Scholarship you must:

1. Apply for a Master's programme at Chalmers: Scholarship applications will only be processed after the corresponding
online application for Master's programme has been completed, including having submitted all the required documentation
verifying your eligibility and having paid the application fee. Please click to apply

2. Rank your programmes: The ranking of the Master's programmes that you applied for (no.1 to 4) is crucial for the assessment
of your scholarship application. To maximize your chances of being offered a scholarship from Chalmers you should select a Chalmers programme as your number one priority.

Steps on How to Apply for Scholarship

The scholarship application is an online
application, consisting of two steps. It is advisable that you apply for scholarships
as soon as possible, but no later than 15
January 2018, since this will greatly
expedite the assessment process.
However, there is no correlation between
how early an application is made and the
likelihood of receiving a scholarship.
Note, You must first make an online
application to one or several Master’s
programmes at Chalmers. Each applicant is assigned an 8 digit application number (from your online application) and this number is required in order to complete the

application (step 2 below).

Step 1
Fill in and submit the request to require a
personal link to the scholarship application form. Fill the form hereYou must make sure to use the same e-mail address as the one used in your online application.

Step 2
Soon after you have submitted the request
(step 1), you will be sent a personal link to the scholarship application form. Make sure to have your 8 digit application number (from your online application) at hand. This is of extreme importance, since your
scholarship application is connected to it.

Please note that your scholarship application will not be considered unless you have paid the application fee and uploaded required documents by 1 February 2018. An incomplete scholarship application will not be considered.

Scholarship notifications will be sent out by e-mail by Chalmers between March and Mid-April. In order to keep your scholarship offer,
you have to confirm that you accept the
offered scholarship. Instructions will follow in your scholarship offer notification. Make sure to confirm by the specified deadline.
