Study In Sweden: Uppsala University, Application To Master And Bachelor Programmes For Fall 2018.

Application has commenced at Uppsala University for international students who wish to apply into various programmes ranging from science, technology, engineering, etc. at the university. Uppsala University is a research university in Uppsala, Sweden, and is the oldest university in Sweden and all of the Nordic countries still in operation, founded in 1477. It ranks among the world's 100 best universities in several high-profile international rankings. The university has nine faculties distributed over three "disciplinary domains". It has about 44,000
registered students and 2,300 doctoral
students. It has a teaching staff of roughly
1,800 (part-time and full-time) out of a total of 6,900 employees.
General Entry Requirements For Master Programme
A Bachelor’s Degree
To meet the entry requirements for Master’s level studies at Uppsala University students must have been awarded a Bachelor’s degree from an internationally recognised university.
Please note that students in their final year of Bachelor's studies may be conditionally admitted to a Master’s programme at
Uppsala University. When applying, an official transcript of records and a document stating that they are likely to be awarded the degree by the start of the Master's programme must also be provided.
These documents must be issued through and certified by a member of the Academic Registrar’s Office, the Examinations Office, or the equivalent department at the student’s institution. Certification from other staff members, such as faculty or college
staff members, will not be accepted.

Students who are conditionally admitted must provide their Bachelor’s degree certificate when their Master’s studies commence to be registered in courses.

English Language Proficiency
To be admitted to Master’s level programmes and courses, students must demonstrate proficiency in English, and this is usually done through an internationally recognised test such as TOEFL, IELTS
or equivalent.
Required Test Scores:
  •  IELTS ACADEMIC: an overall mark of 6.5 and no section below 5.5
  • TOEFL: Paper-based: Score of 4.5 (scale 1–6) in written test and a total score of 575. Internet-based: Score of 20 (scale 0–30) in written test and a total score of 90
  • Cambridge: CAE, CPE
Specific entry requirements for each Master’s programme are found here. It is very important that students read through this information carefully to ensure they meet all entry requirements before applying.

Along with submitting an online application,
students must submit a number of supporting documents that show that they meet the general and programme-specific entry requirements.

STEP 2: APPLY ONLINE

Check you meet the general entry
requirements for all Master's programmes.
Check you meet the programme-specific entry requirements. If you meet all the requirements then start your application by creating an account on the University Admissions in Sweden website, click here.
Rank your programme choices in order of
preference and submit them before the
application deadline on 16 January 2017.

STEP 3: SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS

The deadline for submitting all supporting
documents is 1 February 2017.
  • Prepare and submit your supporting documents: official transcripts, diploma, proof of expected graduation, passport and proof of English proficiency.
  • Prepare and submit your programme-specific supporting documents such as statement of purpose, CV, letters of recommendation, etc.
STEP 4: PAY THE APPLICATION FEE
If you are required to pay tuition fees, you should pay the application fee to University Admissions in Sweden before 1 February 2017.

Bachelor's Programme

Uppsala University offers four international
Bachelor’s programmes, all delivered in English, and with a duration of three years of full-time study. These programmes are given at Campus Gotland, Uppsala University’s unique and picturesque campus that is on an island in the Baltic Sea. The application period for Bachelor’s programmes
commencing autumn 2018 is from 16 October 2017 to 15 January 2018.
The Four Bachelor's Programmes Are:
  • Game Design and Graphics
  • Game Design and Programming
  • Game Design and Project Management
  • Bachelor Programme in Energy Transition-Sustainability and Leadership.
Entry Requirements
  • High school diploma and transcript
  • English language proficiency
