Study In USA: Kansas State University, Application To Graduates And Undergraduates Programs For Fall, 2018.

Application for international students is currently open at Kansas State University is for various degree programs. Kansas State University(Kansas State) is a public doctoral university with its main campus in Manhattan, Kansas, United States. Kansas State was opened as the state's land-grant college in 1863 – the first public institution of higher learning in the state of Kansas. It had a record high enrollment of 24,766 students for the Fall 2014 semester. The university is classified as a research university with highest research activity (R1) by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Kansas State's academic offerings are administered through nine colleges, including the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Technology and Aviation in Salina. Graduate degrees offered include 65 master's degree programs and 45 doctoral degrees. The university is ranked among the top 75 public universities in the United States, it has a total number of 24,000 students with 2,000 international students from over 100 countries.

Undergraduates Admission Requirements


  • Completed high school degree
  • 2.5 out of 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) in high school coursework
* Programs with different requirements:
A 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA is recommended for admission to these programs:

  • College of Architecture, Planning and Design
  • Interior design in the College of Human Ecology
  • Wildlife and outdoor enterprise management in the College of Agriculture


SAT or ACT scores are not required for admission to any programs at Kansas State University. But, SAT or ACT scores are recommended as part of a strong. application to these programs:

  • College of Architecture, Planning and Design
  • College of Engineering
  • Interior design in the College of Human Ecology
  • Wildlife and outdoor enterprise management in the College of Agriculture

Language Requirements

Proof of English proficiency is not required for admission to Kansas State University. Admissions decisions are made on the academic qualifications listed above.
* These programs require English proficiency for direct admission:

  • College of Architecture, Planning and Design
  • Interior designin the College of Human Ecology
  • Athletic Training program for transfer student only in the College of Human Ecology
  • Wildlife and outdoor enterprise management in the College of Agriculture

  • Affidavit of Financial Support and bank statement

International applicants may apply for admission online and pay their $75 application fee.

Graduates of foreign colleges and universities

All international students admitted to the Graduate School must demonstrate the same level of achievement as U.S. students. That is, they must hold a degree from an established institution comparable to a college or university in the United States, have an outstanding undergraduate record, have the demonstrated ability to do graduate work, and provide evidence of language proficiency sufficient for the pursuit of a graduate degree. Admission may be denied to students from technical schools, which may provide excellent training in special areas, but do not offer degrees equivalent to those of colleges and universities.

Affidavit of Financial Support

Each application must indicate the source of financial support. Financial support documentation should be accompanied by the Affidavit of Financial Support verifying that financial support is available for the student while attending Kansas State University. Sponsors must sign the financial affidavit, electronic signatures will not be accepted. This documentation is required in order to issue an I-20 or DS-2019 and has no bearing on the admission decision. Click here to download financial statement form

English Proficiency Requirements

The Graduate School requires each applicant whose native language is not English to demonstrate competence in the English language by achieving a satisfactory score of at least 79 in TOEFL iBT (internet based), 550 in TOEFL (PBT), 6.5 in IELTS, 58 in Pearson Test of English (PTE).
