Study In Canada: The University of New Brunswick International Students Application For Fall 2018.

The University of New Brunswick is currently accepting applications for Fall intake from international students across the world. The University of New Brunswick (UNB) is a public university with two primary campuses, located in Fredericton and Saint John, New Brunswick. It is the oldest English-language university in Canada, and among the oldest public universities in North America. UNB offers over 75 degrees in fourteen faculties at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a total student enrollment of approximately 11,400 between the two principal campuses. UNB was named the most entrepreneurial university in
Canada at the 2014 Startup Canada Awards.

How to apply for undergraduate admission
Step 1: Complete online application.

Step 2: Pay application fee of $125 CDN (non refundable)

Step 3: Submit your documents
You need to mail the following to the university

  • Official or notarized transcripts grades for all secondary or high school, colleges, and universities you have attended.
  • If your transcripts are not in English, send a copy of the original transcript and provide a certified translation. If applicable, submit the results from any academic tests you have taken, such as SAT, ACT, Cambridge ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels, CXC or others.
  • If you are applying for direct admission to an undergraduate program at UNB and are not exempt from our English language requirements, submit your English language proficiency test score (UNB accepts IELTS; MELAB; TOEFL iBT; TOEFL (paper-based); TOEFL (computer-based);MELAB; CAEL; CanTest).
  • * Direct entry: International students
    require the following English language
    proficiency minimum scores for direct
    entry into most academic programs:
    IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 85, CAEL 60, or
    Pearson Vue Test 59.
    Exemptions: An international applicant
    is not required to submit proof of English Language proficiency if:
    1. The applicant has studied in a high school in Canada for a minimum of 1 year and has achieved minimum of 70% in Grade 12 English (ENG4U/ EAE4U or equivalent course); OR
    2. The applicant has studied in an English speaking high school for a minimum of 1 year and is applying from one of the following countries: American Samoa, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Island, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Malta, Mauritius, Monteserrat, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pacific Island Trust Territory, Ryukyu Island, Seychelles, Republic of Singapore, Republic of South Africa, St. Helena St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Virgin Islands, Zambia, Zimbabwe. 
    • If you are over the age of 21, you are considered a mature student and must submit a resume of your education and work experience since high school.

    more than 30 departments and faculties.

    Step 2: Review the admission requirements
    Admission requirements differ between
    programs, so be sure to have the correct programs admissions information. Check programs specific requirements.

    Step 3: Apply online
    Complete online application.

    Step 4: Upload program-specific documentation
    For many programs you will need to upload additional documents such as a CV, Transcripts, Statement of Interest, Sample of writing, GRE or GMAT, and 3 References. If English is not your first language, Official English-Language Test scores are required. Click here.

    Step 5: Pay application fee
    Once you submit your application you will receive an email to make the application fee payment of $65 CDN (non refundable).
